Rachael yeah leigh the employers sold all thietr stocks Dan_Snyder The executives sold their stocks when the company started to go downhill, and didn't let the employees sell theirs. leigh and didn't tell anyone about money problems they were having russell and stoped the employees from selling their stocks sarah we read the gospel of wealth...and in it Carnegie said to contribute money to the poor who cannot help themselves, and here the wealthy is taking all the money, and letting the poor just go without any money, or anyway to supposrt their families leigh so the rich got richer ............................ MelissaG well yeah sarah...but it was a pretty shady way of losing money ship it was money invested in the company's 401K plan ship not money invested out on the street Lyndsey that's even worse! sarah o Jen the employers didnt really have a choice about that money being invested in stock leigh which is people retierment money MelissaG ah ship if it was invested out on the street, every investor could have unloaded it MelissaG yeah Kevin it doesnt matter u can roll over ur 401 k plan whenever its ur money the company can not control just influenece it Lyndsey ? leigh oh ok sarah i don't know anything about 401K plans ship depending on the company you do have a choice as to where your money is invested russell i used to russell but that was last semester Lyndsey neither do i ....just that they are retirement Jen yeah but the employees didnt know the company was going bankrupt so how would they have known to do nething?? Kevin its ur retirement plan out of each payheck or so a chunk goes into it and when u retire u get the cash Lyndsey there had to have been signs somewhere Christina yeah, b/c the employers told them to keep the stock, didn't they ship 401 K...and sometimes the company contributes to it Kevin well thats the risk sarah kind of like social security?
